Below is specific information related to this project and we hope you find it both helpful and useful throughout this project.

There is a CONTACT EMAIL below that will help us answer your specific questions in an orderly fashion as we move through the different phases of construction.

We will be monitoring this line of communication throughout the construction activities.

Emergencies

If you have a true emergency – DIAL 911.

Police details working on the construction site will be sure that emergency personnel can reach your home.

Please DO NOT use the Emergency 911 phone number for general questions about the construction activities.

Construction Detour

During construction, there will be NO thru traffic.

Residents WILL have access to their homes during construction.

Please be patient when accessing after 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.

Construction Hours

In general, water main construction work will be limited:

Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the daylight hours.

All Construction will pause 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM to allow school buses and vehicular traffic to use one lane on Chicopee Row Night construction will not occur until mid-April.

Water Main Installation

PHASE ONE work will involve one “main” line construction crew working on Chicopee ROW.

This crew will start on Hollis Street at Martins Pond Road and work northeasterly towards the High School.

The primary goal is to get clean potable drinking water from the Groton Water System to the High School.

A second water main crew will not start work until sometime in April when we convert to night time construction.

PHASE TWO of this work is to install water mains on Groton Street and Kemp Street in Dunstable and a small section of North Street in Groton.

Water Service Information

Once the water main installation has been completed, the contractor will be installing a water service to the property line. A stake with a “blue” flag will be placed approximately where we think the water service should go. Homeowners are strongly encouraged to confirm this location with our field engineers or the town representatives.
