The Animal Inspector (as distinct from the Animal Control Officer)

* issues quarantines in all animal bite cases
* makes an annual domestic animal survey using a Barn Book issues by the Department of Food and Agriculture
* checks any cattle imported from another state or country after being notified to do so by the Department
