Passport Information
The Groton Town Hall is a designated U.S. State Department Passport Acceptance Agency. Passport applications are available at Groton Town Hall, and can be downloaded from the U.S. Department of State web site. This web site also contains information on documents and photos required, fees charged, and answers to travel-related questions. We recommend that you complete your application, gather the necessary documents, and obtain passport photos prior to arriving at our office. Groton Town Hall accepts passport application appointments on Mondays from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM. To schedule an appointment please call 978-732-1881, same day appointments are occasionally available. Walk- in hours are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. |

The applicant must appear in person and bring two checks to cover their passport application fees. If the applicant is under 16 years of age, the minor must appear with both parents (or guardians) in person. Passport payments consist of a US Department of State fee and an Acceptance Agent fee.
