Sargission Beach Committee Seeking Volunteers

The Sargisson Beach Committee is seeking volunteers to help prepare the beach for the upcoming season!!
The beach will be re-opening on May 27th, 2024! We have a number of projects we need your help with to get it ready!!
Come down and meet your fellow neighbors and residents of Groton and help cleanup the beach!!
9AM start at the Sargisson Beach Parking Area, if you arrive later walk down to the beach.
Directions: Drive North on Whiley Road from Four Corners near Shaws. Look for the Sargisson Beach Conservation Land sign on your left.
Activities:
- Beach Cleanup, raking leaves and pine needles, deposit in the weed harvester trailer.
- Trash pickup along the beach.
What to Wear: work gloves, closed toed shoes/hiking boots, long pants.
Hand Tools: leaf rakes, hard rake, shovel, shears for small branches, tarp for leaves.
