Town Meeting Electronic Voting Study Committee – 2022

The 2015 Spring Town Meeting had received a report from the Electronic Voting Study Committee (2014) suggesting that electronic voting at Town Meeting may be worthy of adopting, but that costs were prohibitive and that questions around implementation remained unanswered. It recommended that the question be revisited in the future.

The Town Meeting Electronic Voting Study Committee – 2022 was created by the Spring 2022 Town Meeting. The TMEVS Committee charter is to “explore the option of implementing electronic voting at Town Meeting, said Committee to receive support from Town Officials as required, and, further, said Committee to provide a report to the 2022 Fall Town Meeting addressing all issues associated with such a change including but not limited to cost, bylaws and administrative procedures.”
