Groton Historical Walk – Byways, Businesses, and the Old Burying Ground

This series of one-and-a-half-hour walking tours will visit some of Groton’s historical houses and discuss the social and architectural trends of their periods. Each tour is an immersive experience connecting you to Groton’s prolific past.
The area around the Old Burying Ground was the center of activity in Groton in the Colonial period and remained a hub for many years afterward. This walking tour will travel down Hollis, School, and Main Streets touching on the history of the Old Burying Ground and exploring the variety of establishments that characterized this area over time.
