Emergency Rental Assistance Available in Groton

Application Deadline:  December 18, 2020

In response to the loss of income to Groton households due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town of Groton has created the Emergency Rental Assistance Program utilizing Community Preservation Act funds.

Applicants are eligible for:

  • Up to four months of assistance
  • Maximum monthly payment: $800 – 1BR; $1,000 – 2BR; $1200 – 3BR.

Eligible Households:

  • Total Household income (at the time of application) cannot exceed the following limits:

80% Income Limit $54,950 $62,800 $70,650 $78,500 $84,800 $91,100
  • Households that currently receive housing assistance (e.g. Public Housing tenants, RAFT, Section 8, MRVP or other locally administered support) are not eligible to apply

Application Due Date:   December 18, 2020 at 5:00 pm

Applications are due by December 18 2020. A Lottery, if one is needed, will be used to establish the order in which funds will be awarded. Applications received after the due date will be added to the bottom of the Lottery List in the order received, until all funds are disbursed.
