You are invited to a presentation on the future of education funding in Massachusetts that I will be hosting, along with Sen, Jason Lewis, the Senate Chair of the legislature’s Committee on Education.
As you are aware, every school district in our region and across the Commonwealth struggles with its own set of unique financial challenges, affecting the quality of education we are able to offer our students. This discussion will provide community stakeholders, such as you, with the unique opportunity to learn about the mechanisms of education funding at the state level, the effort that has been undertaken by the legislature to review the current education funding formula, and the proposals to overhaul the formula being considered this session.
